  7.      giftoppm - convert a GIF file into a portable pixmap

  9. SYNOPSIS
  10.      giftoppm [-verbose] [-comments] [-image N] [GIFfile]

  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.      Reads a GIF file for input, and outputs portable pixmap.
  15.  
  16. OPTIONS
  17.  
  18.      -verbose
  19.           Produces verbose output about the GIF file input.
  20.  
  21.      -comments
  22.           Only outputs GIF89 comment fields.
  23.  
  24.      -image
  25.           Output the specified gif image from the input gif archive  (where  N
  26.                                                                              -
  27.           is  '1',  '2', '20'...).  Normally there is only one image per file,
  28.           so this option is not needed.
  29.  
  30.      All flags can be abbreviated to their shortest unique prefix.
  31.  
  32. BUGS
  33.      This does not correctly handle the Plain  Text  Extension  of  the  GIF89
  34.      standard, since I did not have any example input files containing them.
